Hyperscale Trims $9.6M Worth of BTC Holdings Amid Stock Price Slide
Hyperscale Data, Inc., a NYSE-listed company, has trimmed its Bitcoin holdings after upping them in July. The company announced that it sold roughly 150.5 BTC last week, worth approximately $9.6 million at the time.
As of August 2, Hyperscale reported holding 958.5352 BTC across its subsidiaries Sentinum, Inc. and Ault Capital Group, Inc., valued at over $61 million at today's prices. This sale comes after a week where Ault Capital Group bought about 15 BTC on the open market.
Hyperscale plans to retain its long-term Bitcoin position, using it as collateral to fund data center operations and aiming to build a $100 million digital asset treasury. The company's Executive Chairman Milton 'Todd' Ault III said they are confident in their ability to use Bitcoin as 'pristine collateral' for further capital allocation strategy refinement.
