I/O Fund Predicts Bitcoin to Reach $2 Million in Long-Term, Despite Weak Near-Term Outlook
Financial analyst Beth Kindig has shared her analysis on Bitcoin's potential price trajectory. According to an I/O Fund study, Bitcoin's long-term price target could reach $2 million. However, the fund also notes that the near-term outlook for Bitcoin is weak.
Kindig cited the I/O Fund's analysis, which pointed out that Bitcoin's aggregate volume has dropped to its lowest level in two years. This suggests a lack of buying interest near recent lows. The study also noted similarities between the current bear market and the 2022 bear market, characterized by sharp vertical declines followed by messy bounces.
Despite calls for a Bitcoin bottom growing louder, Kindig emphasized that several signals indicate the bear market may not yet be over. The I/O Fund's analysis found that the same signals that kept them on the right side of every major BTC swing since 2020 still point lower.
The fund is not a perma-bear, however, and believes the end of the current bear cycle could set up an exceptionally powerful move higher. They predict Bitcoin will eventually trade above $2 million, linking its potential with America's ballooning debt problem. The US government may print money to cover bills, passing the cost burden to citizens through inflation.
