iBeer Buyer Regrets Missing Out on Bitcoin Windfall

In 2011, some people spent $2.99 on an iPhone app called iBeer that let users pretend to drink beer from their phones.

If they had invested that same amount in Bitcoin instead, it would now be worth a staggering $54,500 based on the median daily value of approximately $3.52 at the time.

This means the $2.99 could have bought two Emirates First Class roundtrips, complete with private A380 suites, Dom Pérignon, and unlimited caviar, among other luxuries.

Emirates has recently introduced Crypto.com Pay as a payment option on its website and mobile app, allowing eligible UAE residents to pay in Emirati dirhams.
