IBIT Dominates Bitcoin ETF Inflows as Market Sees Dramatic Turnaround
The Bitcoin ETF market saw a dramatic turnaround in just two sessions, flipping from a $265.4 million net outflow to a $170.1 million influx on August 3. However, despite the positive trend, BlackRock's IBIT fund still dominates the scene, accounting for an impressive 65.5% of the day's inflows.
Of the seven funds that reported gains on August 3, IBIT took in $111.4 million, while Fidelity's FBTC garnered $33.4 million and Farside Investors' EZBC, BTCO, HODL, BITB, ARKB, BRRR, BTCW, MSBT, GBTC, and BTC had smaller inflows.
A closer look at the numbers reveals that the July 31 selloff was not a one-off event. In fact, on July 30, seven funds reported gains, with IBIT taking in $122.7 million, while FBTC lost $54.8 million and GBTC shed $52.6 million.
The author suggests that instead of focusing on daily totals, investors should be paying attention to the number of funds reporting positive flows over a sustained period. With five funds printing zeros on August 3, it's clear that not all is well in the Bitcoin ETF market.
