ICE Taps tZERO for Digital Transfer Agent Infrastructure

Share

Intercontinental Exchange (ICE), the parent company of the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE), is deepening its partnership with tZERO, a blockchain-based platform for tokenized securities. The two companies will collaborate on ICE's upcoming digital trading platform, which will support on-chain settlement through tZERO's infrastructure.

Under a memorandum of understanding, tZERO will act as the premier design partner for the digital transfer agent and broker-dealer infrastructure. In return, ICE will participate in tZERO's latest financing round and receive a license to its blockchain patent portfolio.

tZERO brings extensive experience in regulated on-chain infrastructure, according to Michael Blaugrund, Vice President of Strategic Initiatives at ICE. 'tZERO's experience makes them a valuable partner as we expand our digital transfer agent program,' he said.
