ICE Teams Up with tZERO on Tokenized Securities Platform
Intercontinental Exchange (ICE) has partnered with tZERO to develop infrastructure for its planned NYSE-affiliated tokenized securities platform.
tZERO will help design digital transfer-agent and broker-dealer systems for the platform, which is being developed under ICE's NYSE affiliation to support tokenized securities trading and settlement.
As part of the agreement, ICE will invest in tZERO's latest funding round and gain a license to use its blockchain patent portfolio, which spans 23 patent families and 103 individual patents covering compliance-aware transfer logic and upgradeable smart contract frameworks.
tZERO is expected to seek approval as a digital transfer agent on ICE's NYSE-linked platform, which would allow it to operate directly within the exchange's new tokenized trading infrastructure.
