ICP Price Spikes Amid Stablecoin Growth, But Sellers' Volume Rises
Internet Computer (ICP) rose by 14% at press time as it benefits from on-chain growth and stablecoin liquidity increasing. Stablecoins have seen a significant surge in capital inflow, with DeFiLlama reporting a gain of roughly 10% in the last seven days, bringing total liquidity to around $3.98 million.
On the other hand, off-chain signals suggest that market decline may be looming on the horizon. The Open Interest-Weighted Funding Rate, which measures capital in the perpetual market relative to long or short positions, has flipped negative at a time when there's been a surge in capital inflow into the perpetual market.
The Taker Buy/Sell Ratio, also known as the Long/Short Ratio, has plummeted to 0.87 on the chart as of writing, indicating growing selling pressure and potentially overvalued assets.
