IKEA Invades Skyrim with Fully Voiced Storage Companion
Bethesda Game Studios has collaborated with IKEA to create a unique crossover experience in The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim. The result is Kallax Storageborn, a fully voiced companion modeled on IKEA's iconic Kallax storage unit.
Voice actor Matt Berry lends his baritone to the role of Kallax, who can carry players' gear and help them avoid getting over-encumbered in the game. Players can also wield a Dwemer Allen Key and don a Meatball Helmet as part of this crossover event.
The free Creation features a full quest, two IKEA-themed dungeons, and a boss fight against the Clutter Golem. This is not an April Fools' joke, but rather part of IKEA's mission to bring its brand into digital spaces.
IKEA executive Kemi Anthony stated that Skyrim's modding community made it the perfect fantasy world to test the brand's storage credentials. Berry has a long history of voicing characters in various games and TV shows, including LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight and What We Do in The Shadows.
