Inco Brings Private Payments to Celo Testnet
Blockchain startup Inco has launched its full-stack privacy layer on Celo's testnet, enabling private payments and confidential decentralized finance (DeFi) for developers. The integration combines Inco's encrypted computation technology with Celo's fast and low-cost blockchain infrastructure.
Celo supports over 32 native stablecoins, making it a prominent choice for global financial applications. With Inco now integrated on the platform, users can shield balances, send private transactions, and engage in encrypted onchain asset activities without leaving the Celo ecosystem.
Marek Olszewski, CEO of Celo Core Co., said, 'Privacy should be a foundational tenet of the blockchain.' He added that Inco's confidentiality tools fill a real gap for developers, allowing neobanks and fintechs to perform financial activity onchain without exposing every transaction.
Remi Gai, founder of Inco, stated, 'Confidentiality is the next problem blockchains need to solve, the same way scalability and interoperability did before it.' The Inco deployment is currently in a gated beta phase, with access available to developers and fintech teams via direct requests.
