India Pushes BRICS to Link CBDCs for Cross-Border Payments
India is pushing its BRICS member countries to explore linking their central bank digital currencies (CBDCs) for cross-border payments. This development aims to make international transactions faster and easier across member economies.
The proposal will be featured at the September 12-13 BRICS summit in New Delhi. It's part of a broader effort by BRICS finance chiefs to create payment systems that are efficient, cost-effective, and secure.
Among crypto presales, DigiTap ($TAP) is most directly positioned around digital payments. Its beta app is already downloadable through the App Store and Google Play, giving buyers product proof before public-market price discovery.
DigiTap's consumer product combines crypto and fiat wallets, cards, and payment functionality, supporting over 100 crypto assets. The Basic Wallet Plan allows users to start without KYC documentation, while the virtual card connects digital balances with everyday spending.
