India Risks Falling Behind as US Senate Votes on CLARITY Act
India's lack of comprehensive crypto regulations is becoming increasingly apparent as other countries move ahead with clearer rules for digital assets. Despite having over 66 million crypto owners, India still lags behind in adoption and participation in decentralized finance (DeFi) and token markets.
The US Senate will hold a key vote on the CLARITY Act on September 15, which aims to provide regulatory clarity for the US crypto market. The US, EU, Japan, and other countries have already established digital asset frameworks, giving them a head start in terms of regulation and adoption.
As the global crypto landscape continues to evolve, India's delay in introducing clear regulations poses a significant risk of falling behind in the global crypto race. With the CLARITY Act on the verge of passing, it remains to be seen whether India will follow suit or continue to lag behind.
