Indian Crypto Investors Get Younger By the Quarter
Nearly three-quarters of India's crypto investors are under the age of 35, according to a recent study by CoinSwitch. The research, which analyzed platform activity during April-June 2026, found that investors in this age group made up 75% of the total investor base.
The largest share of investors came from those aged 26-35, accounting for 50.5% of CoinSwitch's investor base during the quarter. The 18-25 age group contributed 16.3%, while those aged 36-45 represented 22.8%. Investors aged 46 and above made up just 10.5%
However, younger participation did not necessarily translate into stronger buying behavior. In fact, investors aged 18-25 recorded a buy-to-sell ratio of 0.65, making them the only age group to sell more than they bought.
