India's Blockchain Industry Booms with Polygon, CoinDCX Leading the Charge
India's blockchain and Web3 industry has been growing rapidly in recent years. The country is home to a strong pool of blockchain and Web3 developers, with both domestic and global companies having significant operations or Indian-origin founders.
Polygon, one of the most prominent blockchain projects associated with India, was founded by Indian entrepreneurs Jaynti Kanani, Sandeep Nailwal, and Anurag Arjun. The company has developed blockchain infrastructure designed to make transactions and decentralized applications more scalable.
CoinDCX, another major name in India's digital asset market, has expanded beyond a simple crypto trading platform and now operates across several areas of the Web3 ecosystem. Its H1 2026 report showed that it had crossed 2.2 crore registered users, while its August 2026 transparency report reported 2,28,52,215 registered users as of August 31, 2026.
The company has also focused on transparency, compliance, and investor protection, with a Crypto Investor Protection Fund corpus of ₹51.53 crore.
