India's Cockroach Janta Party Sparks Meme Coin Frenzy

The Cockroach Janta Party (CJP), a protest movement in India led by Gen-Z activists, has inspired the creation of over 250 meme coins on the Solana-based platform Pump.fun. The CJP was sparked by a comment from Chief Justice Surya Kant referring to activists and unemployed youth as 'cockroaches' of society.

The meme coins, which are cryptocurrencies driven by internet jokes and social media hype rather than technical utility, have seen some trading activity with market capitalizations reaching up to $166,400. However, very few of these coins are being actively traded, with only three having been traded in the last 24 hours.

The CJP's leaders have no affiliation with any of the meme coins, and there is a possibility that they may be rug pulls. The creators of the coins remain unknown, adding to concerns about their legitimacy and potential for financial loss.
