India's DEA Faces Parliament Over Virtual Digital Assets Regulation
The India Finance Ministry's Department of Economic Affairs (DEA) will face questions from Parliament on September 16 regarding Virtual Digital Assets regulation.
The hearing aims to address several key issues, including the regulatory authority over crypto assets, classification rules, and measures to bring offshore crypto trading under domestic tax and anti-money laundering (AML) oversight.
This move comes as the committee advances its report 'A Study on Virtual Digital Assets and Way Forward.'
