India's Massive Lead in Bitcoin Ownership Revealed

India has taken the top spot as the country with the most Bitcoin owners, according to a table posted by analyst Willy Woo on September 1. The table shows that India has approximately 68 million Bitcoin owners at a rate of 4.6%, placing it 12th in terms of ownership rate among 25 countries.

This distinction is largely due to India's large population, with the country having over 1.4 billion people. In comparison, Vietnam has an ownership rate of 17% but only a population of around 100 million.

Chainalysis' Global Crypto Adoption Index also ranked India first in terms of overall crypto adoption for the third consecutive year, confirming its position as a leader in crypto adoption.
