India's Younger Generation Fuels Record Crypto Adoption
India's younger generation is driving record crypto adoption in the country, making it the global leader for the third consecutive year.
Gen Z investors are embracing cryptocurrencies like never before, considering digital assets as part of their small investment portfolio along with stocks, mutual funds, and SIPs.
According to a recent report, young investors are choosing to invest in different digital assets, with Bitcoin remaining the most chosen asset. However, some Gen Z investors are also including Ethereum and Solana into their stash.
The trend is attributed to the progressive stance of Gen Z investors, who enter the market with small investments as low as ₹500 ($5.2). They see cryptocurrency as a way to build a strong portfolio, unlike others who look for quick profits.
Chainalysis report states that India has about 119 million crypto investors, ranking first in global crypto adoption. CoinSwitch report reveals that Gen Z accounts for 37.6% of all crypto investors.
