Indonesia Proposes CLARITY Act for Clear Federal Rules on Stocks and Cryptos
The Indonesian government is proposing the CLARITY Act to provide clear federal rules for various financial products, including stocks, ETFs, options, and crypto assets. The move aims to increase investor confidence and simplify regulatory frameworks.
According to the Pluang financial application, the CLARITY Act would cover US Stocks, ETFs, and Options facilitated by PT PG Berjangka as a Derivatives Broker, licensed and supervised by the Financial Services Authority of Indonesia (OJK) for financial derivative products with underlying securities. Transactions are recorded on the Jakarta Futures Exchange (JFX) and the Indonesian Futures Clearing House (KBI).
The proposed law would also apply to Indonesian Stocks, facilitated by PT Sarana Santosa Sejati as a Level-II Institutional Security Brokers Marketing Partner, in collaboration with PT Pluang Maju Sekuritas as a Securities Company. Crypto Assets and Digital Financial Asset Derivatives (Crypto Futures) would be facilitated by PT Bumi Santosa Cemerlang, licensed and supervised by the OJK. Transactions are recorded by Central Finansial X (CFX) and guaranteed by Kliring Komoditi Indonesia (KKI).
The CLARITY Act aims to increase transparency and provide clear guidelines for investors. It's essential to note that all investments involve risks, and past performance is not indicative of future results.
