Indonesia Sees 24% Spike in Crypto Transactions Amid Resilient Public Confidence
The Indonesian Financial Services Authority (OJK) released its June 2026 data on cryptocurrency transactions, showing a significant increase of 24.2% from May. The total value of crypto asset transactions reached IDR 28.58 trillion in June, while the number of consumer accounts rose to 22.69 million, up 1.32% from the previous month.
The OJK also reported that transactions in digital financial asset (AKD) derivatives totaled IDR 4.19 trillion in June, a 3.64% increase from May. The authority has licensed 32 entities within Indonesia's crypto asset trading ecosystem, including two exchanges and 26 Digital Financial Asset Traders.
OJK cited public confidence in crypto assets as remaining resilient despite fluctuations in transaction values. As of June 2026, there are two registered crypto exchanges in Indonesia: PT Central Finansial X (CFX) and PT Fortuna Integritas Exchange (ICEX).
