INJ Breakout Faces Test as Low Volume Raises Concerns
INJ has experienced a sudden surge of 9.23% and broken through its upper Bollinger Band, but this breakout may not be as strong as it seems.
The move is attributed to a broader altcoin rotation off Bitcoin strength, where capital flows from BTC down the risk curve into mid-cap L1s that have been quietly building bases. This is evident in INJ's price structure, which has coiled between $4.59 and $4.88 for long enough that any macro bid from the broader market would produce a sharp vertical move.
However, the 24-hour spot volume on Binance came in at roughly $11 million, which is not a significant amount to back up such a large price increase. This low volume raises concerns about the sustainability of this breakout.
The technicals also send mixed signals. The moving average picture is constructive, with INJ trading above every major SMA, indicating a clean bull stack. However, momentum is dead-flat, and the Stochastic %K has rocketed to 92.90, deep inside overbought territory, while %D sits at 74.32. This divergence typically precedes a short-term pullback or cooling-off period.
