Injective, the layer-1 blockchain platform, has issued a clarification regarding recent reports of network issues. According to an official statement released on their X account, the project emphasizes that its blockchain underwent a scheduled upgrade rather than a halt.

The drop in staked volume, which was initially perceived as a sign of network distress, was attributed by Injective to delays in validator upgrades. Validators needed to update their software to align with the new protocol version, resulting in some validators being temporarily offline.

Injective stressed that the core protocol and consensus mechanism were never compromised, and the chain continued to process transactions normally throughout the upgrade process. The project also clarified that the exploit affecting a small number of ecosystem applications was contained and patched, with no impact on the Injective blockchain or its native asset, INJ.
