Institutional Demand for Bitcoin ETFs Wavers Amid Two-Day Outflow Streak
Bitcoin exchange-traded funds (ETFs) have experienced two consecutive days of outflows, totaling $147.3 million as of September 9.
This is a sharp departure from earlier in the month when ETFs attracted substantial fresh capital, with U.S. spot Bitcoin products drawing in roughly $731 million on September 3 alone.
However, institutional demand appears to have weakened significantly after the long U.S. holiday weekend, resulting in net redemptions of $46.65 million on September 8 and a further $100.7 million on September 9.
The majority of these losses came from Grayscale's GBTC, which saw approximately $65.5 million in outflows.
