Institutional Demand Keeps Ethereum Near $2,500 Amid On-Chain Caution
Ethereum's price has stabilized around $2,500 due to sustained institutional demand. The token's nine-day streak of ETF inflows has provided a steady stream of support even as it pulled back from its recent high of over $2,400.
The data shows that on August 28, spot Ethereum ETFs took in $102 million in net inflows, while spot Bitcoin ETFs recorded a $202 million net outflow. This contrast suggests institutional appetite is temporarily shifting towards Ethereum even as Bitcoin funds see a breather.
On-chain activity has declined despite the price holding firm, with transaction counts and active addresses decreasing over the past week. A divergence like this can limit sustainable upward momentum unless usage picks up.
