Institutional Investors Flock to Regulated Spot Bitcoin ETFs Amid Market Volatility
Despite Bitcoin trading below recent highs, institutional investors continue to favor regulated ETF products for exposure to cryptocurrencies. On July 30, spot Bitcoin ETFs attracted a significant $233.13 million in net inflows, driven mainly by BlackRock's iShares Bitcoin Trust (IBIT) with $183 million. This influx of capital has contributed to the total assets in U.S. spot Bitcoin ETFs now standing near $78.76 billion.
Spot Ethereum ETFs also saw positive inflows of $13.29 million, led by BlackRock's ETHA. The sustained long-term institutional interest in these regulated products amid market volatility is a notable trend. Institutional investors are favoring these products for exposure to cryptocurrencies due to their regulatory advantages.
