Institutional investors poured $580 million into Bitcoin ETFs just before Federal Reserve Chair Kevin Warsh's hawkish policy speech on August 28, 2026.

The influx of capital was part of an eight-session streak of net positive flows, which totaled $2.8 billion and pushed total Bitcoin ETF assets under management to $98.56 billion.

The two primary vehicles drawing institutional capital were BlackRock's iShares Bitcoin Trust (IBIT) and Fidelity's Wise Origin Bitcoin Fund (FBTC), with authorized participants including Jane Street and Citadel facilitating the creation and redemption processes.

Warsh's speech centered on persistent inflationary pressures, which sent markets into a tailspin. The implied probability of a September rate hike jumped from roughly 35% to approximately 60%, causing Bitcoin to fall from around $81,280 to approximately $76,909.
