Iran's Missile Strikes Spark $350M Crypto Liquidation
The July missile strikes by Iran on US military targets have sent shockwaves through the crypto market, causing Bitcoin to drop more than 2% from approximately $64,000 to around $62,000. This move triggered over $350 million in liquidations across crypto platforms.
Iran's Supreme National Security Council has made it clear that these strikes are not a one-time statement, but rather a policy to be continued until Washington surrenders and Tehran's demands are met.
Iran has been using digital assets to work around international sanctions for years. US authorities have responded by seizing Iranian-linked digital asset wallets, with the value of seized assets ranging between $344 million and $450 million across enforcement actions.
