IREN Stock Soars Ahead of Earnings on Strong Nvidia Results
IREN's stock surged over 4% ahead of its earnings release, mirroring gains in other neocloud companies like CoreWeave and Nebius following strong Nvidia results. Shares climbed to $43.25, but this rally will be put to the test when the company publishes its financial results later today.
Analysts expect IREN's revenue to have dropped 28% to $135 million in the quarter due to Bitcoin weakness, which remained in a deep bear market during the period. The most optimistic analyst predicts revenue of $185 million, still lower than last year's $188 million.
However, there are signs that Bitcoin is doing well, with its price jumping to $80,200 today, up sharply from its year-to-date low of $57,300. Additionally, analysts expect IREN's annual revenue metrics to continue thriving in the coming year, with a predicted jump to $669 million this year and $2.33 billion next year.
IREN has made significant progress in recent months, completing the acquisition of Mirantis and inking a $2.8 billion deal with several AI labs. The company's CEO stated that its vertically integrated AI Cloud platform is scaling at pace, with 1.2GW targeted for 2027.
