IREN Stock Surges Ahead of Earnings Amid Signs of Recovering Bitcoin
Iris Energy's stock price has surged by over 4% ahead of its earnings announcement on August 27. This increase in value mirrors that seen at other neocloud companies, such as CoreWeave and Nebius, following strong results from Nvidia.
The company, now known for its AI capabilities, still generates most of its revenue through Bitcoin mining. However, the recent bear market in Bitcoin has led to a 28% drop in expected revenue to $135 million, with some analysts predicting it will come in at $185 million, lower than last year's figure.
Despite this, there are signs that Bitcoin is recovering, with its price jumping to $80,200 today. Additionally, analysts expect the company's annual revenue metrics to continue thriving in the coming years, with a target of $669 million this year and $2.33 billion next year.
