IRGC Claims Destruction of US Military Assets Amid Ongoing Conflict
The Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has claimed to have destroyed US military aircraft and radar systems across the Middle East over a two-week period in July. The claims, which remain unverified by independent sources or US Central Command, paint a picture of methodical strikes against US military infrastructure scattered across the Persian Gulf region.
Among the purported targets are a Patriot air-defense system and fuel depots in Kuwait, as well as a missile defense radar and an F-15 fighter jet at a US base in Jordan. The strike on the Jordanian base allegedly occurred during 'Operation Nasr 2' on July 21, with the broader campaign aiming to create a 'radar blackout' across the Persian Gulf.
The IRGC's statements come as crypto markets navigate war volatility, with initial sell-offs hitting major tokens such as Bitcoin. However, over longer timeframes, digital assets have held up better than equities.
