Ironwood Upgrade Fuels Zcash's 3.13% Price Swing
Zcash recently completed its Ironwood (NU6.3) hard fork, which addressed a shielded pool counterfeiting scare and introduced a new 'turnstile' design to independently verify shielded supply.
The upgrade was activated at block 3,428,143 and directly addressed earlier fears about invisible inflation, removing a tail risk discount that had been hanging over ZEC.
Fortitude Mining, a Digital Currency Group-owned miner focused on Zcash, disclosed a $45 million commitment to ZEC infrastructure, including $31.5 million of new mining hardware and $13.9 million of data center assets and power contracts.
