Israeli bank Leumi is partnering with Galaxy Digital to bring cryptocurrency trading to its banking app. The service will allow customers to buy, hold, and sell Bitcoin (BTC), Ether (ETH), and Solana (SOL) directly through the Leumi Trade app.

The rollout is expected to launch in early 2027, making Leumi the first Israeli bank to offer digital asset trading services to retail customers. The service will be powered by GalaxyOne Institutional for trading and related services, with Galaxy's custody platform supporting the technical foundation behind the offering.

Galaxy Digital's role as a technology and liquidity partner highlights how large crypto firms are positioning themselves as infrastructure providers to traditional finance. By integrating cryptocurrency trading into its banking app, Leumi may reduce friction for mainstream users who want exposure to major cryptocurrencies but prefer the familiar interface of a regulated bank.
