Israel's Largest Crypto Broker Hit by Massive Data Breach
Bits of Gold, Israel's largest cryptocurrency broker, has reported a data breach that affected over 200,000 customers. A hacker gained unauthorized access to a third-party data analytics network and accessed sensitive information such as names, national IDs, emails, phone numbers, IP addresses, bank account details, and public wallet addresses.
The company stated that it quickly disconnected its system from the information sources to prevent further damage. Fortunately, no funds, private keys, passwords, or credit card and debit card codes were exposed in the attack.
Bits of Gold believes that the hack was part of a broader global incident that affected other companies simultaneously.
