Italy's Treasury Announces Next BOT Auction Amid Company News and M&A Activity
The Italian Treasury will announce details of its next BOT auction on Friday, ahead of the July 29 semi-annual BOT sale.
POSTE ITALIANE reported an adjusted operating profit of €868 million for the second quarter, little changed from a year earlier and above an €841 million forecast in an analyst consensus compiled by the company. The group will hold a conference call at 0900 GMT.
ENI has established a €120 million fund to support fuel-station operators that convert their sites into electric-vehicle charging hubs or biofuel production facilities, with grants of up to €60,000 per operator covering up to 50% of eligible conversion costs.
STMICROELECTRONICS will invest about €2.4 billion in Sicily between 2026 and 2028 to expand its 8-inch silicon carbide capacity and €1.4 billion in Agrate Brianza, where it aims to raise output to 8,000 wafers per week by end-2027.
THE ITALIAN SEA GROUP is working on a plan to create a yachting manufacturing hub in the Tuscan town of Carrara involving one or two players and potentially including Sanlorenzo. The hub would retain TISG's brands, the concession and the shipyard's management and would also be open to the group's suppliers.
MARE ENGINEERING will expand its aerospace & defence drone supply chain by acquiring CTMAVIO for €9 million. Consultinvest, a financial advisory and asset management company, is considering an IPO on the Milan stock exchange.
