Jacksonville Brothers Arrested Over Darknet Synthetic Opioid Sales
Two brothers from Jacksonville have been arrested and charged with distributing synthetic opioids on the Darknet. Vladislav and Stanislav Chernyshov are accused of operating under the pseudonym 'BarbaraWhite' since 2020, selling over 95,000 counterfeit pills on platforms like Nemesis, Bohemia, and Abacus.
The illicit operation allegedly generated $220,000 in income from cryptocurrency transactions, with outgoing transfers totaling $230,000. Authorities employed Chainalysis to track the Bitcoin trail and connect the suspects' digital identity with their physical presence.
Court records indicate that the network may be linked to at least 12 overdose cases in U.S. territory, including three fatal incidents. The investigation revealed coordinated postal shipments and use of digital assets to maintain anonymity.
