Jane Street Dumps $630 Million into Bitcoin ETFs After Q1 Sell-Off
Jane Street's Bitcoin ETF holdings have seen a significant increase in Q2 2026, with the firm pouring $630 million into spot Bitcoin exchange-traded funds. This marks a reversal from Q1, when Jane Street slashed its Bitcoin ETF exposure by 71 percent.
The firm's total holdings now sit at approximately $1.06 billion, with $828 million invested in BlackRock's iShares Bitcoin Trust (IBIT). The remainder is spread across Fidelity's FBTC and Grayscale's GBTC.
Jane Street operates as a major authorized participant for exchange-traded funds, which means its trading desks often serve as a bellwether for market sentiment. Analysts note that the firm's actions could influence other market makers and institutional investors.
