Jane Street, a quantitative trading firm, has made headlines with its significant exposure to Bitcoin exchange-traded funds (ETFs). The company's Q2 2026 Form 13F filing with the SEC revealed a nearly $1 billion position in BTC through various ETFs. This allocation is equivalent to approximately 15,394 BTC and represents a substantial holding for an institutional investor.

The majority of Jane Street's investment went into BlackRock's iShares Bitcoin Trust (IBIT) fund, totaling around $828 million. The remainder was distributed across other regulated exchange-traded vehicles listed on U.S. markets, including Fidelity's Wise Origin Bitcoin Fund and Grayscale's Bitcoin Trust.

This significant move by Jane Street highlights the growing interest in cryptocurrency investments among institutional players. With over $40 billion in net trading revenue so far in 2026, the firm has demonstrated its ability to navigate the complex financial landscape.
