Japanese Company Dumps Altcoins for Bitcoin, Focuses on Leading Coin
Japanese-listed Remixpoint has abandoned its altcoin portfolio in favor of a Bitcoin-only strategy. The company sold approximately $5.5 million worth of Ethereum, Solana, XRP, and Dogecoin on September 1, 2026.
The decision was based on market conditions, risk-return characteristics, and the company's broader financial strategy. Remixpoint stated that concentrating on Bitcoin makes it easier for shareholders to understand its investment policy and improves capital efficiency.
Remixpoint now holds approximately 1,506 BTC, making it one of Japan's largest listed corporate Bitcoin holders. The company generates income from its Bitcoin holdings through lending arrangements, earning approximately $1 million in fees between February 24 and August 31, 2026.
