Japanese Exports Surge 23.2% as China Trade Booms
Japan's export numbers have seen significant growth in July, rising by 23.2% year-on-year. This marks the fastest annual gain since October 2022 and is also the fifth consecutive month of accelerating growth.
The main drivers behind this increase were stronger semiconductor equipment sales and increased trade with China, which saw a 26% surge in shipments.
Economists had been anticipating export growth to continue its upward trend, but these figures have exceeded expectations. The boost is likely to have positive effects on the crypto infrastructure and mining hardware supply chains, potentially supporting GPU/ASIC production, broader tech adoption in Asia, and DeFi activity.
