Japanese Firm Ditches Altcoins for All-Bitcoin Portfolio
Remixpoint, Japan's second-largest Digital Asset Trading (DAT) company after Metaplanet, has made a bold move by divesting its entire portfolio of alternative cryptocurrencies and focusing exclusively on Bitcoin.
The Tokyo-based firm liquidated positions in Ethereum, Solana, XRP, and Dogecoin on September 1, generating approximately $5.5 million in proceeds from the sale.
The transaction resulted in a combined profit of about $742,000 across the portfolio, with Ethereum delivering gains of $379,000, Solana contributing $311,000 in profit, and XRP adding approximately $72,000 to the bottom line.
Conversely, Dogecoin represented the sole underperforming asset, closing with a $21,000 deficit compared to its fiscal year opening valuation.
