Japanese Listed Firm eole Buys $67K in HYPE Tokens, Eyes $670K Investment by August
eole, a Japanese listed AI data center firm, has made its first foray into the Hyperliquid ecosystem by purchasing ¥10 million ($67,000) worth of HYPE tokens. This acquisition marks the first time a publicly traded Japanese company has bought HYPE.
eole plans to increase its total investment in HYPE to ¥100 million ($670,000) by the end of August as part of its 'Neo Crypto Bank' initiative, which aims to build next-generation financial infrastructure using blockchain technology and AI data services.
The company emphasized that it chose HYPE due to Hyperliquid's layer-one blockchain being designed for high-speed trading, making it suitable for autonomous AI agents. eole sees HYPE as a strategic asset in building on-chain financial infrastructure rather than a speculative investment.
