Japan's Remixpoint Dumps Altcoins for Bitcoin-Only Treasury
Remixpoint, a Japanese public company, has made a significant shift in its cryptocurrency holdings by selling all of its Ethereum, Solana, XRP, and Dogecoin. The assets were sold on September 1, resulting in a gain of ¥117,772,649 ($598,400) for the company.
The sale generated ¥878,814,569 ($4.47 million) in revenue, exceeding their book value by ¥117,772,649 ($598,400). The company has stated that it will now focus on Bitcoin, citing market conditions and its financial strategy as reasons for this decision.
Remixpoint's shift to a Bitcoin-only treasury is part of a larger trend among public companies. Corporate Bitcoin buying has accelerated in recent weeks, with several companies increasing their holdings in the asset. Remixpoint now holds 1,501 BTC, valued at $116.1 million, ranking it 38th among public-company Bitcoin holders.
