Jing Tian Embroiled in $5.6M Surrogacy Dispute with Crypto Billionaire Justin Sun

Chinese actress Jing Tian is at the center of a surrogacy controversy involving crypto billionaire Justin Sun Yuchen, who has been involved in a $5.6m legal dispute with her.

The allegations began in April when online rumors surfaced claiming that an actress surnamed J had demanded a large sum of money from her wealthy boyfriend under the guise of surrogacy. The rumors later identified Jing Tian as the actress, and screenshots of an agreement purportedly written by an overseas surrogacy agency circulated online.

The document allegedly contained the names 'Yuchen Sun' and 'Tian Jing' and reported that Sun transferred 30 million yuan to Jing Tian to retrieve her eggs. However, she allegedly claimed she couldn't undergo the procedure due to her menstrual cycle and demanded an additional $50m. When Sun refused, Jing Tian allegedly blocked him.

Jing Tian's studio denied the allegations as 'malicious rumors' and stated that it would pursue legal action. Sun, who is also the founder of the blockchain network Tron, claimed he paid a dowry to Jing Tian's parents and that the couple had agreed to have a child via surrogacy.
