JPMorgan Amasses Large Crypto Holdings via Regulated ETFs
JPMorgan Chase has increased its stake in regulated crypto exchange-traded funds (ETFs) in Q2, according to its latest 13F filing. The bank's exposure to BlackRock's iShares Bitcoin Trust rose to around 10.4 million shares worth approximately $355.7 million as of June 30.
This is up from about 8.3 million shares valued at near $162 million in the prior quarter, representing a significant increase in the bank's crypto holdings.
JPMorgan also boosted its stake in BlackRock's iShares Ethereum Trust to around 1.17 million shares worth approximately $14.3 million, a fourfold increase from Q1.
The bank established a new position in the Bitwise Solana Staking ETF with roughly 47,500 shares and re-entered small positions in XRP ETFs and SPAC exposures, signaling growing institutional adoption of crypto ETFs.
