JPMorgan Bolsters Crypto Exposure with Increased Bitcoin, Ethereum, and XRP Holdings
JPMorgan Chase has increased its exposure to Bitcoin and Ethereum ETFs while re-entering XRP-related products, according to its latest SEC filing.
The bank held positions in two XRP ETFs after previously exiting one of them, with new holdings in both the Bitwise XRP ETF and Grayscale's XRP ETF. JPMorgan reported 113 shares of the Bitwise XRP ETF and 181 shares of the Grayscale XRP ETF.
The bank also increased its position in BlackRock's iShares Bitcoin Trust ETF (IBIT) by roughly 25%, with holdings worth nearly $356 million, according to the filing. JPMorgan's call position for IBIT increased to approximately 3.94 million shares, while its put position declined.
Ethereum exposure also rose sharply in JPMorgan's latest disclosure, with an increase of approximately 338% in BlackRock's iShares Ethereum Trust ETF (ETHA), bringing the bank's position to nearly 1.17 million shares worth more than $14 million.
