JPMorgan Expands Crypto ETF Holdings, Boosts Bitcoin and Ethereum Positions
JPMorgan Chase has increased its exposure to cryptocurrency exchange-traded funds (ETFs) in its second-quarter holdings, according to a recent 13F filing with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission.
The bank boosted its positions in BlackRock's spot Bitcoin and Ethereum ETFs and opened a new position in a Solana staking fund, signaling continued institutional adoption of digital assets.
JPMorgan held approximately 10.4 million shares of BlackRock's iShares Bitcoin Trust (IBIT), valued at roughly $355 million, as of June 30. This marks an increase from about 8.3 million shares in the previous quarter.
The bank's stake in BlackRock's iShares Ethereum Trust (ETHA) also grew substantially, reaching about 1.17 million shares worth approximately $14.3 million, a 338% increase quarter-over-quarter.
