JPYC has secured ¥6 billion in Series B extension funding to accelerate its deployment of yen-backed stablecoins across Japan. The investment includes ¥1 billion from logistics leader AZ-COM Maruwa, which plans to use JPYC for payment settlements in operations involving thousands of businesses and contractors.

Retail pilot programs are testing JPYC integration into point-of-sale systems at convenience store Lawson and restaurant chains. Supported by Japan's regulatory framework, JPYC aims to broaden stablecoin adoption in commerce and finance, running on multiple blockchain networks with government-backed reserves.
