U.S. Attorney Jeanine Ferris Pirro announced that the Department of Justice (DOJ) has seized over $560,000 in cryptocurrency allegedly bound for Hamas.

The funds were seized as part of an investigation into fundraising infrastructure associated with Hamas' military wing, the Al Qassam Brigades.

Pirro described the seizure as 'a massive blow' to Hamas and vowed that the DOJ will use every tool at its disposal to cut off terrorist financing and disrupt Hamas operations.

The seizures were made under three unsealed warrants issued in March, June, and October 2025, allowing the FBI to take cryptocurrency from addresses promoted through an encrypted group chat and a fundraising website.
