Justice Dept Cracks Down on Hamas Crypto Fundraising Efforts

Share

The U.S. Department of Justice has disrupted Hamas's fundraising efforts by seizing over $560,000 in cryptocurrency linked to the terrorist organization.

According to the DOJ, Hamas controlled cryptocurrency addresses and online infrastructure on behalf of its military wing, the Al Qassam Brigades.

The FBI traced cryptocurrency donations through an online fundraising operation where a group chat claiming association with Hamas directed supporters to a fundraising website and provided rotating cryptocurrency addresses.

Investigators seized approximately $560,000 in three operations on March 25, June 25, and October 10, 2025.
