Justin Sun Deflects Wealth Questions With On-Chain Metrics
TRON founder Justin Sun has responded to questions about his personal wealth by sharing four metrics that demonstrate the health and stability of the TRON network. In a series of posts on X, Sun cited HTX's 44-month Merkle-tree proof-of-reserves showing BTC, ETH, TRX, and stablecoins ratios above 100%. He also reported over $94 billion USDT circulating on TRON, matching Tether's transparency data.
Sun's attributed wallet unlocked 5,000 ETH (~$12.3 million) from Lido, leaving >243,000 ETH, surpassing Ethereum Foundation holdings. Sun argued that his personal wealth is not relevant to the industry and that he has never intended to share a specific figure. He also claimed that his operating principle remains unchanged, standing by 'root in the internet' and instant deposits and withdrawals.
In response to criticism from Chinese commentator Hu Xijin, Sun published an open letter addressing a bride-price lawsuit against actress Jing Tian. The suit, filed earlier this year, exceeds 30 million yuan (about $4.5 million). Sun cited declining birth rates in China, noting that the number of newborns has decreased significantly since his birth year in 1990.
