Justin Sun Sues Trump-Backed Firm Over Frozen $320M Token Holdings
Justin Sun, founder of Tron (TRX), has filed a lawsuit against World Liberty Financial (WLFI) in a California federal court. The complaint alleges that WLFI froze approximately 4 billion tokens worth around $320 million at current prices, belonging to Sun.
The lawsuit claims that Sun invested $45 million in WLFI in 2024 and later received an additional billion tokens as an advisor. However, his wallet was allegedly frozen by WLFI in September without a vote, stripping him of his governance rights.
According to the complaint, WLFI pressured Sun to mint $200 million of its USD1 stablecoin on the Tron blockchain. The company's leadership also threatened to burn Sun's holdings outright.
